If you’re going to reblog something to back up someone complaining about something about culture (complaining about Yang not being her last name), when they know nothing about said culture, you should probably do some studying. In the Chinese language, Yang Xiaolong, Yang would be her last name. In Chinese, the last name is put first. (Sorry about my awful English)

Is this directed at me? I’m the person who brought up the last name thing, but I actually stated that Yang would be her last name in Chinese, so…am I being criticized for anything?

Also, lol, I AM Chinese. I don’t claim to know everything about Chinese culture, but clearly it’s not like I know “nothing” about it.

I posted it bc I don’t know anything about Chinese culture and I didn’t want to leave it in my inbox in case it was a legitimate criticism. That was exactly what I thought you stated, though. Anyway, thanks for weighing in and clearing that up.

I mean to be fair they did state it’s a fantasy world so it doesn’t follow the rules of this world (like with how Weiss is pronounced), also they got it right with Lie Ren’s name, with his given name being Ren and family name being Lie since I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be Japanese.

But I’m also coming into an argument that this is all I’ve seen but I’m mean honestly, fantasy world.
