In the course of my involvement in the bi, ace, and aro communities on Tumblr, I’ve noticed some overlap in the challenges we face, especially in terms of erasure. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting other people who are both bi and on the asexual and/or aromantic spectra, including tristifere, with whom I am partnering on this new project.
We would like to see more collaboration between the asexual and aromantic communities and the bisexual/biromantic community. As a starting point, we are building a space for those who, like us, belong to both. We’ve created a Google group, tentatively titled The Bi / Ace Collaboration Team, and we’d like to invite biromantic aces, aromantic bisexuals, and everyone in between to join.
If you’re interested in discussing your identity, your experience with various communities, and how we can work together to fight erasure and build coalitions, this group is for you.
