I only want to get Watch Dogs for that lady with the fine tattoos and haircut like I don’t really care what else happens in the game who is this wondrous creature I need to look at her more

Watch Dogs is a weird game for me.

When it was first announced, I was super excited for it.  Then throughout the last couple years I stopped caring.  Then, suddenly, it’s been released and reviewed and I still don’t really care.

I often do this with games.  It’s rather annoying.

You know I was exactly the same I saw the reveal at E3 and I was like yo

Then totally forgot about it until now. And only cause its been on my dash do I remember it. Usually I get excited at a games announcement then forget it mostly until its released then I get excited again. This time I’m trying to dig for reasons to get it I’m really not sure if its any good. Theres no reason for me to care and like… It feels like they have a good idea but knowing ubisoft they won’t have used it to its full potential

I already kind of felt indifferent about playing the game.  It looks kinda fun, but also rather familiar in ways.

Then I heard from Eco that they’ve heard it has racism, sexism, misogyny, and transphobia in it. =n=

I’ve actually almost completed the game now. And Clara (the one with the tattoos) is an awesome french Canadian tattoo artist and I love her.

As for the other stuff I’d say it has racist, sexist, misogynists and transphobics in it but not necessarily are those things but I don’t know I haven’t been doing a lot of side missions which is where most of that stuff is. I did hack into a phone call where a guy dismantled the idea of reverse racism and that it’s bullshit (kinda anyways, you only get bits and pieces of phone calls so as far as I could tell he did) and a few guys in game spout out some anti-feminist BS and are immediately shut down.

Although I would say it’s kinda racist in that the bad part of town is all PoC that fall into a lot of stereotypes and I see what they were trying to do in that everyone falls heavily into stereotypes so it’s up and downs I’m not to pleased with that.

But it is fun and has decent social commentary and the people you can directly look into the lives of feel very real you just have to take everything with a grain of salt.
