So like I’m at work today and this guy somes up looking to see if we have thing Anime bullethell game for another system, right? And we didn’t so my manager said to take a look at this other one that the cover is

and it’s him and his 2 buddies who are (I’m going to say probably, but not certainly) cis white men in there late 20’s to mid 30’s. And they all kinda have this weird “omg it’s an anime titty” reaction and it made them all a little uncomfortable.

I made the comment about how yeah that’s anime for you and one of them goes off about how Japanese men are just obsessed with white woman and need to sexualize them and all this bullshit.

And I’m just like um I’m pretty sure there supposed to be Japanese girls they just kinda look white (although I was thinking they really don’t you’re just white washing anime) and he flat out said no they’re just obsessed with white girls.

They also said that only boys watch anime and I was like well I watch anime and “well not this kinda of anime” (spoiler alert, it’s my guilty pleasure and I’m hella gay) and I just kinda left it because my manager was there and I wasn’t about to get into an argument with ignorant men. 

The amount of ignorance was astonishing though.
