so I dyed my hair purple last friday, and I haven’t washed it since (yay me), but I should probably wash it soon.

wondering if purple shampoo would be better (it’s supposed to tone out yellow, so maybe?), or just generic ‘colour safe’ shampoo? anybody have any experience?

gorillawolfmotherfucker answered: I use cleansing conditioner in cold water. Then again, my hair is hella thick and benefits from allll the conditioning 

mine’s suuuper thick too, but I’ve never used a cleansing conditioner before. do you use it with shampoo or instead of?

There’s specific shampoos you can get that help keep purple hair purple Meg Turney uses it I’ll see if I can find what it is.

Edit: it’s called Overtone (that might be the brand but) I’ve heard it’s amazing and it’s a conditioner.

It even helps your hair go purple in the first place.
