i understand discomfort with using “queer” as an umbrella term but the term “same-gender attracted (SGA)” is not in any way an appropriate substitute, it was quite literally created by christian and mormon conversion therapists to describe being gay as a psychological phenomenon and/or a sinful behaviour, i am not making this up, if you google “same gender attraction” you get a wall of conversion therapy websites and interviews with homophobic church elders, with no LGBT-affirming results in site, stop saying “SGA people,” using dehumanizing homophobic language created by conversion therapists as an umbrella is no better than using a slur
