to those of us who have trouble realizing when we are hungry or thirsty, and subsequently neglect to nourish ourselves
to those of us who don’t realize how much force we are using when we are squeezing or pushing things
to those of us who are overly ticklish due to our heightened tactile senses, who get made fun of and tickled because we seem like a joke to others
to those of us who are overly sensitive to pain, and those of us who don’t notice pain
to those of us who feel nauseated from certain odors that other people don’t seem to notice
to those of us who easily get carsick or seasick or airsick
to those of us who have to ask others to repeat what they said again and again, and we still don’t understand what they said
to those of us who have trouble noticing and recognizing dangerous smells like smoke or noxious hazards
to those of us who cry about everything, and those of us who seem to have blunted emotions
to those of us whose bodies don’t properly regulate temperature
to those of us who are seen as clumsy because we frequently drop things, have trouble with coordination, and are accident prone
to those of us who hate to be barefoot, and those of us who cannot stand to wear socks or shoes
to those of us who have to hum or vocalize in order to concentrate on a task
We’re all important, and we all deserve acceptance, patience, and love. I hope you all have a wonderful day. No matter how much others try to invalidate you because of your disorders, you are valid and they are wrong.
