friendly reminder

ecosynchronous:

nasty spring illnesses are the worst, believe me i know

and when you start feeling better it’s a huge relief and all you wanna do is get out of bed and go DO SOMETHING

but this is a friendly reminder that just because you’re feeling better doesn’t mean you aren’t still contagious. please resist the nigh-overpowering urge to celebrate feeling better by going out in public.

  • babies, old people, and other immunocompromised folks can get sick to a degree that makes how you were feeling seem like child’s play
  • store employees, bus drivers, servers, and other service personnel often can’t afford to take time off work if you get them sick
  • you yourself can suffer a setback in your health if you overexert your body before it’s ready

do yourself and everyone else a huge favour and finish your course of meds if you’ve got ‘em and just generally make sure you’re back up to standards before going out, if possible!
