Very disturbing information has emerged about an incident which recently occurred at the Peace Bridge, one of the road crossings along the Canada / U.S. border, at the hands of Canada’s federal Border Services Agency (CBSA).

This incident involved myself and my partner. We need the news to spread far an wide. The CBSA needs to be exposed for their transphobia, ableism and classism.
Fuck right off. Add to this their law that leaves no legal recourse for trans* and gender non conforming travelers being denied the right to board flights heading into the country and you’ve got some major shit here.

I was actually looking for something like this, well not specifically but a few days ago I was trying to find how Canada treated Trans* people, and the only thing I got was some websites about hormone treatment. I have never met a Trans* person, but I also live in a fairly small city of about 100k or so.
And this disgusts me. I can’t believe that there are people in my country that would do such a thing. You can bet your ass that I’m going to be getting this as much attention as possible.
I did a little bit of math, approximately there would be around 350 000 Trans* people in Canada, and taking a wild stab in the dark I’m going to say around ¾ of those people live in Toronto or Vancouver, which is very similar to New York City as in people tend not to leave there, they grow up there they die there etc because of being such large cities and very accepting of all lifestyles and what not. (there’s a suburb in Vancouver that’s known basically as LGBT* lane or something like that) So I’m assuming that it just doesn’t become a problem.
A lot of this was based on assumption so I’m sure I got a lot wrong but goddamn something has got to change. I want to start a protest or something, definitely want to punch some bitches in the face.
