hisoka wears rubber bands on his ankles bc he uses them as a corset for body modification. he is slowl making his ankles as thin as possible. please take a look at his ankles in chairman election arc, they are so small. from this we can deduce the rubber bands on his arms are meant to make his muscles look even bigger. i dont know what the orb was about in heavens arena arc but maybe it was a side effect of all his rubber bands and corsets like from squishing so many parts of his body he caused a malfunction and his torso turned into an orb. either wya he has since recovered
