THINX Underwear:

OH SHIT YOU GUYS THIS COMPANY IS MAKING UNDERWEAR THAT IS STAIN RESISTANT, ANTIMICROBIAL, AND WILL ABSORB UP TO 6 TEASPOONS OF LIQUID BUT STILL LOOKS FUCKING SEXY

AND DID I MENTION THIS PART:

For every pair of THINX you buy, you help one girl in the developing world stay in school by providing her with seven washable, reusable cloth pads.

AND WHY IS THAT SUCH A BIG DEAL? HERE’S WHY:

After doing some research, Agrawal says she found that more than 100 million girls in the developing world were missing a week of school because of their periods, and using things such as leaves, old rags, or plastic bags in the place of sanitary pads.

THE SIZES RUN FROM XS TO XXL AND THE PRICES ARE NOT INSANE, THEY’RE OBVIOUSLY HIGHER THAN THOSE 5 FOR $10 SALES AT TARGET BUT YOU WON’T HAVE TO THROW THEM OUT BECAUSE YOU MISCALCULATED YOUR FLOW AND BLED ALL OVER THEM BEFORE YOU COULD GET TO A BATHROOM

I’M SORRY FOR SHOUTING I’M JUST REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS

LIKE HOLY FUCKBASKET IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME

7 Cups of Tea is a totally free and anonymous website where you can go and talk to someone about anything you’d like. Whether you’re facing a hard time or just really need someone to listen to you, trained active listeners will be there. This website is really, truly amazing. I know it’s been hugely helpful for me and I’m giving my time back to it by listening to others.

When you enter the website, simply click the ‘connect’ button to talk to a listener. It’s like an internet chat, except the person on the other end really cares and listens and validates. You’re worth it—go talk to a listener.

I think the Tumblr community can really use this website :3

(Disclaimer: we cannot actually give you tea, but feel free to drink a cuppa while chatting!)

I have not personally used 7 cups of tea, however I realize some of you might need professional/trained listeners so you can vent – cheaper than therapy!

As a college student, currently really hungry with nothing to eat, I understand how hard it can be to get food. Sometimes you really just don’t have the money to eat and when you do, you waste it all on fast food instead of stocking up on cheap things because you’re so tired of Ramen Noodes and canned food you could barf. So, I’ve composed a list of recipes and resources that will fit a college kid’s budget and appetite. Don’t go hungry! ❤

I thought I’d make a short list of thought provoking pixel games to play if you ever need to just spend some time alone.

The Majesty of Colours

Awakening as a sea creature, this game has 5 different endings depending on whether you want to help or hinder. It has a little subplot that considers the moral implications of being a ‘monster’. (Point and click)

I Wish I Were The Moon

8 different endings. Adapted from a short story called “The Distance of the Moon” by Italo Cadaverini. A girl is in love with a boy, but he loves the moon, and thus the girl takes matters into her own hands. (Point and click)

Storyteller

A love story revolving around three different characters and whether being morally good or morally evil has an impact on your future. Drag the characters around the screen to decide the plot. (Point and click)

Today I Die

This game follows the story of a girl who originally has no hope in anything but discovers, through some beautifully worded phrases, that there is some goodness in the world worth living for. The game has two happy endings. It’s been 4 years and the soundtrack still makes me cry. (Point and click)

It’s weird how much I love gypsy skirts

fripperiesabound YOU NEED TO REBLOG THIS

Does anyone know of a less offensive name for gypsy skirts?

(I’m also endlessly amused by mini skirts being described as unsuitable for the workplace – every ‘normal’ job I’ve had, I’ve worn a mini skirt for the interview :P)

The better term for “gypsy” skirts is “tiered” skirts! I’ve only ever seen them called tiered skirts. Heh, they’re my least favorite anyway!

Thank you!

I like them, though I don’t actually own any right now – long skirts are always hard to find actually long enough for me 😦 I need to sew some 😀

So glad that someone pointed out the tiered name. Peasant skirt is another term for them.
