something non-psychotic ppl don’t seem to understand is how much it can help to be able to call hallucinations/delusions/etc by what they are

like i see so many ppl saying “you can’t have self-aware psychosis that means you’re FAKING!” and like?? do you realize how hard it was for me to learn how to recognize psychotic symptoms? how long it took? and i still can’t do it consistently

but just knowing i do have psychotic symptoms allows me to, at least sometimes, step back and tell myself “don’t freak out yet. this might be just a delusion.”

and even though that doesn’t make me believe it less, or make it go away, it is so comforting

being aware of my psychosis lets me feel like i have at least some control over my life, if you’re not psychotic you have no fucking idea how important that is to me

STEVE ROGERS IS IN SLYTHERIN OKAY. I DON’T CARE HOW NICE OR GOOD HE IS, THAT MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

YES HE’S BRAVE, BUT DID YOU NOT WATCH THE FIRST HALF HOUR OF THE FIRST AVENGER? DID YOU NOT WATCH ANY OF THAT MOVIE? THAT LITTLE SHIT LIED ON FEDERAL FORMS TO GET WHAT HE WANTED. HIS AMBITION WAS TO JOIN THE ARMY AND HE DID IT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. HE WAS RUTHLESSLY EFFECTIVE. HE WAS UMAPOLOGETICALLY BADASS. HE’S CLEVER AND DETERMINED AND RESOURCEFUL AND A LEADER, ALL SLYTHERIN QUALITIES.

AND IF YOU THINK THAT HE HAD A HOUSE PREFERENCE BC “”“NICENESS”“”” LEMME TELL YOU THAT IF THAT BOY KNEW THAT SLYTHERIN COULD HELP HIM GET WHERE HE WANTED TO GO IN LIFE, HE WOULD NOT THINK TWICE. HE WOULD NOT LISTEN TO STEREOTYPES ABOUT THAT HOUSE, NOR WOULD HE LOOK DOWN OF KIDS FROM OTHER HOUSES, ESPECIALLY CUZ THAT SOFT HEARTED HEROIC NERD OF A BEST FRIEND HE HAS DEFINITELY ENDED UP IN HUFFLEPUFF.

I, uh.  This might actually be the most compelling argument I’ve seen on this topic.
